I'm so ready to put the pretty Christmas tree up! I really really want to put it up this weekend....even though it's a bit early (we usually put it up after Thanksgiving). But, I'm ready! So ready to start decorating the house and having a home for my handmade christmas gifts...

Catching Up
Whew! So, I've been making lots of stuff and taking a lot of photos lately. BUT, have not had a chance to get on my home computer to download those pictures. I'm on the computer all day at work (without pictures!) and by the time I get home all I want to do is make stuff. I avoid the computer and sew or knit or whatever. Not thinking about that computer or the pictures I have to download at all.Last night after I finished the little project I'm going to mention below, I did it. I sat down with my laptop and FINALLY downloaded and edited all the pictures that have been sitting in the camera. I copied them to a thumb drive and now I can post from anywhere!
Soooo, last night I worked on what will be my ornaments for Kimi's Ornament Swap. This is my first swap of any type ever so I thought long and hard about what I wanted to make.
Here's what I have mostly been working on this week. I get so many compliments when I wear my knit bows around that I decided (with a little nudge from Amy and Lauren) to make some to sell at the craft faire this weekend. I also needed to make some for the supercool ladies at my hairdresser. They went crazy for my bow the last time I got my hair cut and requested some. Which could be a really cool thing if the cute girls at the hairdresser start wearing my bows!!!They couldn't believe that I had learned to knit just so I could make bows. I have to admit, it was one of the main reasons I wanted to learn. And the other stuff is just bonus!Sunday, November 8, 2009

The Doll, MY Doll
This is Lucy. A doll that I've been working on for the past couple of days. She's not perfect, but she's very very special to me. Special because she's made from my very own pattern. I sketched her. And imagined what she would look like. And made her happen. For the first time ever.
Now, I can tweak the pattern a bit and make her even more special.
Somebody else in this house has been doing a little crafting this evening too.Tuesday, November 3, 2009
I <3 My Bunny Suit
Tom knows that one of my most favorite movies is A Christmas Story. I've seen it a million times and will see it a million times more. I MUST watch it every year. And usually keep it on TNT when they are doing their 24 hours of A Christmas Story. I just can't help it.I literally laugh out loud when I see little Ralphie in his bunny suit. Every time I see it.

Soooo, Tom & Audrey were doing a little shopping at Target' last night and spotted this super cute pajama onsie. For adults! Knowing my love for A Christmas Story and Ralphie's suit, he just HAD to buy it for me. And I was thrilled!
Even more thrilled when I tried it on. I NEVER EVER wanted to take it off. It is simply the most comfortable piece of clothing I have ever worn. Soft and warm and cozy and cute. The footies make the perfect socks/slippers. Oh, I was in pajama heaven. I told him I wanted a bunch more. Just thinking about the comfort now while I'm sitting here in my dress at work brings a smile to my face. Ahhh.
Other things in my world right now:
1. Keeping with the Christmas Story theme, Tom really really wants a leg lamp for our holiday window display. I can't wait!
2. I'm almost finished with my very own ragdoll. Yes, my first and very own doll creation . I drew the pattern and everything! So excited. Will share when she's done.
3. With Audrey's grandma in town last week, we did so much and took so many pictures. But I've not had any time to sort through them yet. Another thing to share when I get the time. I'm on the computer all day at work, it's usually the last place I want to be when I get home. I'd rather be sewing. Or knitting. Or hugging my Audrey.
